Medical Errors
Medical errors occur when a healthcare provider either fails to do something that the circumstances require or does something incorrectly that harms the patient. Medical errors include failure to properly diagnose a patient’s condition, failure to prescribe the proper treatment, technical errors during the performance of a surgery or an invasive test, failure to accurately read pathology; or any number of other events that occur while providing healthcare services to a patient. Medicare errors aren’t simply mistakes. They’re examples of care gone wrong that have life-altering consequences for the victim.
